This was my final year project from BSc. Design, Technology & Business at Plymouth University. I wanted to design an attachment that would enable a windsurfer to take a photo of themselves while sailing - to capture similar photos to the ones in the magazines.
Some of the pictures have been attended to ! in photoshop just to finish them off but overall the effect from the invention was really impressive.
Although the system worked well, I was advised that the potential market for this sort of product is too small to make the production costs feasible for selling the product in the UK.
However, an australian manufacturer saw a wider market and created mastcam.net around the same time which sold them worldwide for a time.
How successful this could be in other areas I don't know, but it's a fun piece of kit.
